The Pink Letter Campaign

OutCancer Foundation in association with International Oncology Centre, initiated a campaign on Breast Cancer Awareness.

COMPONENTS OF THE CAMPS:

  • Two month long campaign, run online and offline.

  • Breast self examination letters were sent to more than one lakh women across the country

  • Free Consultation Coupons were given to the females for breast examination by Oncology Doctor.

  • It also gives an overview of a Mammography and its importance.

  • Activities done online through face book and offline in malls, RWA’s, Hospitals, Corporate and Banks.

  • The Pink Walk and Walk for Life, was initiated in Noida and Mumbai.

  • More than 600 people joined in these walkathon to spread the awareness on Breast Cancer.

The Pink Walk

OutCancer Foundation, International Oncology Cancer Centre, and Fortis Hospital, Noida organized a ‘The Pink Walk, a-one-of-its kind walkathon, part of a two-month long Pink Letter Campaign initiative to raise awareness about Breast Cancer amongst women worldwide. The 3-kilometre-walk was flagged off by releasing of pink balloons by Mr. Pradeep K Jaisingh -Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, International Oncology and Mr. Sukhmeet Sandhu, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital at 7:00 am from Fortis Hospital Noida. Women, men from neighborhoods across all age groups in Noida participated in the walkathon and the event focused on educating women on risk of Breast Cancer and benefits of early detection.

OutCancer Foundation in association with Avon Foundation for Women came together for 4th Breast Cancer Detection Camps for Avon Representatives, their families and friends at Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj. The event was an important step to create awareness and early detection of the disease.

The Free Breast Cancer Detection included vital check up of women and mammography recommended by Cancer Specialist. Team of highly experienced doctors was present to help and consult Avon Representatives.

OutCancer Foundation in association with Avon Foundation for Women organized 2nd Breast Cancer Detection Camps for Avon Representatives, their families and friends. The event was hosted at RUSA Medical Centre, Aligarh.

OutCancer Foundation in association with Avon Foundation for Women come together to host first ever Breast Cancer Detection Camps for Avon Representatives, their families and friends. Hosted in International Oncology Cancer Centre, Fortis Hospital, Noida the event is an important step to create awareness and early detection of the disease. 

The series of camps kicking off with first one in International Oncology Cancer Centre, Fortis Hospital Noida, will travel PAN India reaching out to as many women as possible. The Free Breast Cancer Detection camp will include vital check up of women and mammography if recommended by Cancer Specialist. Team of highly experienced doctors from International Oncology Cancer Centre will be present to help and consult Avon Representatives. 


2nd Breast Cancer Fighters and Survivors Meet.

To increase awareness about cancer prevention and diagnosis and removal of taboo of being a cancer patient while highlighting common risk factors and habits that potentially cause cancer, OutCancer organized 2nd Breast Cancer Fighter` s and Survivor`s Meet in association with International Oncology Centre at Fortis Hospital, Noida on 6th October, 2012.

The meet brought together cancer survivors, fighters, supporters and medical practitioners to share their experiences with breast cancer and the road to recovery.


Anti Tobacco Day 31st May, 2011

OutCancer with an aim to get 1 Lakh people to make the "No smoking pledge". Say No to Cancer, Yes to Life, Quit Smoking on the "Anti Tobacco Day" organized an initiative on 31st May 2011.


Fund Raising Play for Breast Cancer Patients

To spread awareness about Breast cancer, the most common cancer killer in urban women, Outcancer Foundation organized a Play “Jab They Met.” on 10th & 11th July 2010 at India Habitat Center. It was a play which contained humor but touched life of breast cancer survivor and emphasized the fact Breast cancer survivors’ live healthy and normal life. Play was arranged by Writer & Director - Sarita Vohra, play-writer, producer and Director of Living Room Theatre.
