OutCancer Foundation, International Oncology Cancer Centre, and Fortis Hospital, Noida organized ‘The Pink Walk, a-one-of-its kind walkathon, part of a two-month long Pink Letter Campaign initiative to raise awareness about Breast Cancer amongst women worldwide.
Cancer is one of the biggest healthcare challenges globally. In India also cancer is the fastest growing disease and we get over 1 Million new cases of cancer reported every year. There are perhaps many more cases that are going unreported from smaller towns and villages. Over 7 lakhs people were reported to die from cancer annually in India as per the latest WHO World Cancer report. This is primarily due to the poor degree of education and awareness of the disease and the lack of prevention, early diagnosis and treatment facilities for the disease.
OutCancer is a cancer support foundation started in 2010, with an aim to work for the cause of cancer patients in India. With a comprehensive approach OutCancer is working for creating awareness about cancer and also initiating steps for cancer screening and early detection of the disease as the treatment at an early stage leads to cure in majority of the cases.
Our vision is to be a dedicated cancer care organization that supports the society in India through education, awareness, early detection and prevention of cancer.
OutCancer aims to reduce the total burden of cancer in India through education, awareness and early detection of cancer through our dedicated programmes.
